ABOUTSSL / TERMS

Terms of Use.

Use ABOUTSSL for lawful, limited troubleshooting and education. Do not use it for bulk scans, harassment, evading controls or probing private systems.

Read-only Scope

The tool inspects one public hostname on port 443. It does not issue or revoke certificates, submit certificate requests, change DNS, upload keys or alter the destination. Only query hosts you are authorized to troubleshoot.

Accuracy and Responsibility

Results are a point-in-time observation from one network location. They are not a security audit, warranty, identity assurance or guarantee of successful deployment. Follow the destination product’s documentation, maintain backups and test changes before production use.

Limits and Availability

The current shared HTTP limit is 60 requests per source IP per site in a rolling minute, with 6 separate TLS-check units. Failed attempts can count. Respect Retry-After and do not rotate addresses to evade limits. Access may be restricted to protect the service. No service-level or uninterrupted-availability commitment is offered.
